My friend Nadine referred me to a blog, thinking we might find something in common with this couple. Brent and Megan's baby boy Cohen was diagnosed with a combination of four heart defects while he was still in utero. Just like Ewan was. I'm not sure if it's the same set of heart conditions that Ewan has, but in reading just a few posts, I'm already finding an incredible amount of resonance. I'm finding out at least some of what we can expect.
Deep breath. And keep a box of tissues nearby.
Born just a few days ago, he's already had a surgery and has been through some scary moments. His parents sound so brave, even though I know their hearts must be hurting deeply for their little one.
