My heart feels stretched so wide to see them together.
The big brother who looks down from heaven, the little sister who made her earthside appearance less than 3 weeks ago. The one who took my heart with him when he left and yet somehow, also left it all for the sibling who would come after him.
Joy at seeing the two of them side by side. Sorrow that neither she nor we will know him. Happiness that she is healthy and safe and growing. Sadness that he never got to experience those things.
There it is, all at once.
My heart smiles and it weeps all at the same time.
There they are, the little loves who grew inside me.
There they are, the only ones who know the sound of my heart from the inside.
