I can't believe it's been a month since I last posted!
The truth is, over the course of that month, I've been trying to write one single blog post. I've had dozens of false starts. I've had nearly-completed drafts that I've discarded because while they may have said what I was trying to say, the words I chose didn't say it the way I wanted it said. At the end of the day, it's really not that big a deal, but it's one of those things that is important to me to get right. I'm just not there yet.
To set any worriers out there at ease, nothing bad has happened. We are all doing well! Austen is healthy and strong, and cute as ever. That little girl hasn't had so much as a cold, a fever, or an ear infection. She's got her two bottom teeth, and I've got the bite marks to prove it! She's rolling over like a champ, pushing herself up, sitting unsupported, and trying her darnedest to crawl. Truth is, I can see that she would really like simply to get up and run! And no joke, in a week she's going to be 6 months old!
It's just that I've just got some things going on internally that are affecting my ability to have an online presence. While I know I don't need to explain it, at the very least, I'd like to try. I'll get there.
